Coffee cake

Dough: 1 1/4 c milk 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 c butter 2 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp salt Streusel: 1 c brown sugar 2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp nutmeg 1/4 c butter 2 tbsp flour 3 large apples

* Preheat oven to 350 * Combine dough ingredients * Combine streusel ingredients * Slice apples * Grease a 9x9 pan * Layer on half the dough * Layer on apples * Layer on half the streusel * Layer on other half of dough * Sprinkle on rest of streusel * Bake @ 350 for 35 min Variation (pineapple bacon): * No apples, and only 1/4 c. milk. * Cook a package of bacon. * Cube a pineapple and cook with bacon. * Mix into dough along with other wet ingredients.
